Pat Page

Pat worked for the Wichita Falls Independent School District for twenty-two years, the last 13 years he served as principal at Jefferson Elementary, which gives Pat the distinguished honor of longest tenured principal in the history of Jefferson Elementary. Five years ago, he made the decision to expand his impact in education and is now the Director of Teaching and Learning at Region 9 Education Service Center.  His claim to fame however is as the 1980 Intramural Foosball Champion at Vernon College.  His wife, Shani, and he have two children, Valerie (28) and Collin (18) and expect their first grandchild to arrive prior to DFTS!  The craziest things he has ever done is to zip line in the jungle of Honduras and to snorkel off the coast of Belize.

Community Involvement

Pat is active in his church and is the Deacon Secretary and a prayer team member at Colonial Church.  He is on the Supervisory Committee at Wichita Falls Teachers Federal Credit Union.  He has been a volunteer with the area Special Olympics for six years.

Why say yes to DFTS?

“I have been a behind the scenes volunteer for DFTS since year one.  I’ve heard the stories of how the two fantastic organizations benefitted by this event have changed lives and I knew I could not let them down when asked to dance, even though it is way out of my comfort zone."

Lauren Giles

Lauren is a hair stylist at Fringe Salon.  She was born and raised in Wichita Falls and graduated from Rider High School in 2013 where she was a Raiderette.  Hip hop is her favorite style of dance.  She works as an instructor at Dance Etc. where she teaches lyrical and hip-hop to the younger kids. In her spare time she loves spending time and relaxing with her fur baby Mindy Mae. Lauren admittedly has a shopping addiction and loves anything that has anything to do with fashion.  She loves to travel and visit places. One of her favorites is going to Jamaica in the summer and spending a week at the deaf village. She gets to spend time with the people who live there, learn sign language, and learn about their different types of cultures. She hopes to one day be able to travel all around the world.

Why say yes to DFTS?

"I said yes because I love to dance and we’re raising money for a great organization at the same time.  So what’s better than that?"
