Nick grew up in Windthorst and graduated from the University of North Texas. He grew up on a dairy farm but now serves as the Marketing Director for SLA Architects. He also finds time to do freelance marketing and graphic design in his spare time. Nick and his wife Mary have been married for almost five years and together have a bustling two and a half year old son named Holden. He enjoys being involved in community development and spends his free time at home or going to family events. His current number one bucket list item is to see the Rangers win the World Series.
Nick has been a Big Brother to Gavin since October 2014 and serves as the current chairman of the BBBS board. He has served on boards or volunteered for many organizations including Communities in Schools, Meals on Wheels, Knights of Columbus, and United Way. He was in the Leadership WF class of 2011 and co-chaired THOR for four years.
Why say yes to DFTS?"Because I'm a huge supporter of BBBS and the organization means a lot to me. And the SBDC has helped me in the past. Oh, and I have a hard time telling people no."
Hannah is a dance teacher at Dance Etc. where she teaches jazz, tap, contemporary and hip hop styles though tap is her favorite style of dance. She grew up loving to dance wanted to be a teacher of the art. Her favorite quote comes from Friedrich Nietzche who said, "We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once." She stays involved in the community and has been a part of many productions at both local theatres where she enjoys volunteering her time in performances and choreographing as well. The top item on her bucket list is to visit the top ten most haunted hotels in America.
