Erin is a native Texan who has been dancing for almost thirty years. She trained in classical ballet with the Wichita Falls Ballet Theatre under the instruction of Pati Thornton and Gari Boehm. While with the WFBT, she not only was a student, but she was the ballet mistress as well. She taught classes and choreographed for the company. For three years Erin lived in New York City where she attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. While at AMDA, Erin continued her education in musical theatre and dance and has since gone on to perform in local and professional theatre. You may have seen her on the stage at Backdoor Theatre in roles such as Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Cassie in A Chorus Line, Maureen in RENT and Lilli/Katherine in Kiss Me Kate to name a few.
Why say yes to DFTS?"I said yes to Dancing for the Stars because I wanted to share my love and passion for dance not only in a one/one capacity with a partner but with the community. Dancing is such a beautiful and freeing way to express yourself and brings so much joy. Also, Big Brothers and Big Sisters is an amazing organization and I wanted to fully support the charity."
